Lauryn Lehman, Academic Advisor and Coordinator of Undergraduate Affairs

Lauryn Lehman joined the iSchool as academic advisor and coordinator of undergraduate affairs on January 9. In this position, she will provide academic advising and support to students in the BS in information sciences (BSIS) and BSIS + Data Science (BSIS+DS) programs.

Lehman comes to the School from Augustana College, where she served as an academic advisor and research and instruction librarian, working with students in science and technology fields. She earned her BA in anthropology from the University of South Carolina and an MSLIS and MA in African studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside of the office, Lehman enjoys sewing, knitting, and travel—with a trip to South Africa being planned for this summer.

"I look forward to getting to know our undergraduates and learning about their unique interests, experiences, and passions," said Lehman. "I want to become 'their person' on campus and do whatever I can to help them reach their personal and professional goals."
